Following on from last year’s event back on a very cold December evening, on Saturday 26th September 2026 GBRf’s Tonbridge West Yard once again welcomed Chris Gee and his Northern Diesel Photo Charter group for an evening of rail photography raising money for GBRf’s charity Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH).

The event raised around £4,700 for GOSH and featured no less than eight of GBRf’s class 73 locomotives staggered in various allocations around the yard centring around the maintenance hub, and illuminated GB Railfreight sign.

There were four celebrity liveried locomotives on show, including 73201 “Broadlands” in BR Blue & 73141 “Spa Valley Railway 25th Anniversary” in Intercity executive which had both recently returned from body work & repaints down at our sub-contractors at St Leonard’s Engineering and what a great job they’ve done too!

A huge thanks goes to everyone at GBRf and volunteers who helped co-ordinate this event.
