GB Railfreight is currently seeking an Office Coordinator to join our team in our London office. The person in this role with play an important role in facilitating the smooth running of the day to day office and administration function and assist acting Directors with any diary requests, facility issues or other office related requests.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including arranging travel and accommodation for Directors, receiving and distributing incoming post and processing any outgoing post for the London office. You will also be expected to act as first point of contact for all visitors at the London office as well as any phone queries, whether from clients or employees.  You will ensure office housekeeping standards are maintained and rooms are prepared for meetings/events.

The potential job holder must be able to handle a large administrative workload in an independent capacity and assist with any ad hoc requests by various teams across the business, often having to multi-task under time pressure.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Arranging travel and accommodation for Directors.
  • Providing cover to the administration and communications team when required 
  • Managing and organising key fobs for office staff at London OBS
  • Ensuring the kitchen area is fully equipped/stocked

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Secondary education, possessing 4/5 A-C GCSEs or equivalent and/or some further education or NVQ level qualification
  • Superior organization skills with good time management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a rapid ability to establish relationships
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

We are currently seeking a Production Assistant to join our planning team based in Doncaster. This is a role which plays a critical role in assisting the department with the management of train-crew resources in order to deliver safe and reliable operations of our train services. 

The successful candidate will be responsible producing diagrams that are accurate and compliant with rostering codes of practice to weekly deadlines. You will ensure diagrams are transferred from Voyager Plan System to Crew Plan and consult with other members of the planning team when producing diagrams to agree the most efficient plans.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that diagrams produced with lodge turns have been highlighted to the relevant roster clerk.
  • Booking train crew accommodation, keeping to budgets and ensuring location is adequate.
  • Record all accommodation instances and lodging allowances for the finance department.
  • Populate train planning grids as required.

Freight Train Driver Midlands:

Candidates will need to live within the region and have appropriate route knowledge and Class 66 traction experience. You will need to either be currently employed as Freight Train Drivers or have been employed in the Freight industry within 12 months. Freight driving experience must be within the last 3 years.

You must hold a valid UK driving license and have a satisfactory safety record.

GB Railfreight requires an individual from within the industry to take on the role of Account Manager, joining our Commercial team. The successful applicant must have the relevant specialist and industry qualifications to undertake the role, reporting line to the Business Manager, Energy & Industrial.

The job holder will be required to optimise the performance and maximise the profitability of a variety of contracts through active liaison with customers, clients and associated suppliers. A key element of the role will be to help build and maintain good relationships with our customers and the post holder must therefore demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as a polite, friendly and diplomatic manner.

The post holder will be the key point of contact for customers and will be required to establish a clear point of contact for all issues relating to GBRf’s delivery of its Commercial and Safety obligations within the contract and any associated variations. 

The successful candidate will manage contracts, ensuring they are fit for purpose to suit the needs of the business and ensure issues are resolved in a timely and appropriate manner. You will also be required to deliver and present annual revenue/return on sales targets for each contract as set out by the General Manager Bulk, as well compile regular monthly performance statistics.
