The role of a Train Manager at GBRf is unique within the Rail industry and is seen as being critical to ensure GBRf provide our customers with a best in class service at all times. Our Train Managers are empowered to take responsibility for the delivery of the key activities on the front line, this encapsulates the need to always be conscious of, and operate with the highest regard for safety.

We are seeking safety focused and dynamic individuals to join our team and support GBRf in our commitment to deliver a safe, reliable and best in class service to our customers. In this role you will liaise with Assistant Train Managers, Signallers and Contractors to ensure customer requirements are met and trains arrive on time.

Key Criteria

• Freight Train Driving experience
• Candidates must have a clean safety record and must hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Proficient with IT packages such as Word, Outlook and ability to download applications on IPAD’s.
• Flexible attitude to working hours as this is a shift based role.
• Safety conscious and calm attitude in an event of an emergency situation.
• Excellent concentration and observational skills.
• Clear and professional communication skills to relay important safety messages.
• Customer focused with excellent problem solving skills.
• Train Managers must be willing to work flexibly on a nominal 35 hour week and must reside within 60 minutes of Doncaster.

GBRf are currently seeking Train Managers to join our team and support GBRf on a fixed term contract starting 21st August 2017.
We are seeking safety and customer focused individuals to join our team and support GBRf in our commitment to deliver a safe, reliable and best in class service to our customers. The successful candidate will liaise with customers, groundstaff, Signallers and Contractors to ensure customer requirements are met and trains arrive on time.
Essential Criteria:
• Freight Train Driving experience
• South Wales / West Country / London Route Knowledge
• Class 66 Traction Knowledge

Other key criteria:

• Candidates must have a satisfactory safety record and must hold a valid UK driving license.
• Proficient with IT packages such as Word, Outlook and ability to download applications on mobile devices
• Flexible attitude to working hours as this is a shift based role
• Safety conscious and calm attitude in an event of an emergency situation
• Excellent concentration and observational skills
• Clear and professional communication skills to relay important safety messages.

GB Railfreight are currently seeking a full-time groundstaff team member based in the London area.
We are seeking safety focused and dynamic individuals to join our team and support GBRf in our commitment to deliver a safe, reliable and best in class service to our customers. Training will be provided for candidates that have the right skills and aptitude for the position.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for the safe preparation of the train ready for its departure. The successful candidates will marshal and dispatch trains in a safe, punctual and efficient manner in accordance with GBRf and Railway rules and regulations. Liaising with GBRf Train Managers (Drivers), signallers and contractor representatives, you will ensure customer requirements are met and trains are prepared efficiently and on time.
Key Criteria:
• Previous operational experience
• Experience in a safety critical role
• GCSE in English and Mathematics at grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Customer focused with experience gained in a Customer facing environment
• Fast learner, both hands on and in a class room setting
• Competent using an IPAD and ability to download applications
• Fire and First aid trained
• Able to multi-task and make quick decisions for short notice changes to train plans.
• Ability to work independently and using own initiative.
• Excellent and clear communication skills to relay important safety messages to colleagues.
• Safety conscious and ability to remain calm in an event of an emergency situation.
• Flexible attitude to working hours as this is a shift based role on a nominal 40 hour week over a 7 day period.
• A clean full UK driving licence
