GBRf launches photo competition to celebrate a decade in business 01 June 2009

First GBRf is today Monday 1 June 2009, calling for entries for a special photo competition launched to mark its tenth anniversary.

The competition, entitled ‘First GBRf: a decade of success,’ is open to all, from amateur to professional photographers. Ten winning photographs will be selected by the judges, which will be exhibited at First GBRf’s anniversary ceremony in Minehead on 11 July 2009. An overall winner will be selected from the top ten, who will be invited by Managing Director John Smith to attend the anniversary celebrations and be presented with a cash prize of £300.

Entrants are asked to submit original and visually exciting pictures documenting GBRf’s journey over the past ten years. Pictures from any point in First GBRf’s history, from 1999 to the present day are welcome; judges are looking for photographs of all things GBRf related, from staff and event shots, to depots and drivers and not just locomotive pictures.

Ashley Stower, Head of Business Development & Marketing said; “At First GBRf we are delighted to be celebrating 10 years in business. Our success in the freight market has been made possible through the dedication of our staff, our innovative and reliable fleet and our unique managerial approach and we wanted to invite the public to join in the celebrations by exhibiting submitted photographs which show all of these elements at our anniversary event in July.”

The closing dates for entry is Tuesday 30 June 2009. Photographs can be sent as prints, on a disk or by email.
