Access to appropriate rail facilities can often be seen as a considerable hurdle to the transfer of traffic to rail. However, transhipment facilities are as varied as the commodities carried and can range from small, dedicated customer facilities through to large multi user freight terminals.

Understanding this First GBRf has successfully developed its estate to meet and sustain the development of its core business. By working closely and flexibly with terminal operators, harbour authorities, Network Rail, private landowners and developers we have effectively secured a wide range of facilities to meet the needs of all of our clients, across all sectors.

To ensure the further development of suitable and varied estate facilities we have recently appointed Peter Green as Property Development Manager.

Peter’s role is to maintain close contact with the key owners and operators of freight facilities to enable us to offer the most up to date information on the availability of freight facilities and related opportunities. Working as an integral component of the Business Development team First GBRf are pleased to offer this expertise as a part of the overall business package.
