First GBRf offers customers a full-train general commodities service within the UK only.
General commodities include:
- Car and other automotive parts
- Forest products, generally timber and paper
- Food and beverage products
- Grain
First GBRf brings its excellent performance record and reputation for never letting down a customer to the general commodities sector. That record has been built and is maintained by First GBRf’s distinctive management approach under which its drivers, known as Train Managers to reflect the responsibility and importance of their role, work flexible hours ensuring services:
- Run non-stop
- Utilise train sets on a 24-hour basis to their destination
- Avoid disruption during engineering works and other risks to customers’ business.
First GBRf does not currently offer any general commodities services via the channel tunnel to continental Europe. It operates full trains only; part-load and wagonload services are not available.
